Books by the pallet program is back on a limited basis. We are hoping to revive the program and get back to pre-Covid numbers ( over 100K books!) this year.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to grow.
Unfortunately we need to temporarily suspend our " Free Books by The Pallet" program. This program was popular and a massive success for so many years.
We will give you a jingle when our suppliers and distributors are back online.
Kudos to United Airlines who doesn't miss an opportunity to share the joy of books and reading.
Julian Thomspon keeps an eye on the book swap stations, making sure that they are organized and have a fresh supply of books.
Julian donates books to the Blacksburg Police Station on a periodic basis, to help ensure their officers have enough books.
The police will use the books when they go on calls, such as domestic violence calls in which kids are in crisis situations. The books help the kids calm down and minimize the lasting impact that the crises will have on them. This is also helpful, as the books distract the kids, while the officers work to de-escalate the situations.
Julian believes it's important to get kids turned on to reading from a young age. He wants kids to love books as much as he does.
Jack Thompson read to his nieces. Then he worked with them to select books from their bookshelves to donate. The books were used to teach his nieces that they can have a profound impact on the community as he has.
